Bohs made the trip to Ballymahon in Longford this afternoon for an SFAI game where the final result unfortunately doesn't reflect the performance.
The opening half saw little between the sides with a snap shot from the hosts and an opportunity from a cross for Oisin Curran being the only chances of a tight affair that saw the sides go in 0-0 at half time.
Bohs came out of the blocks quickest in the second half and forced several corner kicks in the opening 10 minutes, but didn't make the pressure count and came undone after a mistake at the back, to make it 1-0.
It was a day of mistakes and Bohs again did themselves no favours by handing the hosts a 2nd goal as the game passed the hour mark.
A further late goal and a penalty ended the contest 4-0. The Bohs lads will leave frustrated with the mistakes on the day but move on to an away game v Fahy Rovers next week in the Connacht Trophy.
Thanks to Ballymahon FC for the refreshments afterwards and we wish their player well who had to leave for hospital during the game.
