Bearna na Forbacha 1 Galway Bohs 2 (AET)

Bohs travelled to Furbo this morning knowing they needed to be at their best as they took on a Bearna side a division above them in the U16 league.

Today was the turn of the SFAI Trophy however and Bohs took control early on and created several chances, only to find themselves a goal behind to a wonder strike by the home #6.

Bohs kept playing football and saw some half chances come and go whilst defending well as a unit.

As it looked like one of those days, Bohs got the breakthrough when Oisin Curran took on a wonder strike of his own, to make it 1-1 in the dying minutes of normal time.

Both sides then had chances to win the game, with the BnaF keeper making two excellent saves from Keelan Lillis and Rian Phillips first, before Joe Keville stood tall to keep out the advancing striker.

1-1 after normal time so onto extra time. Bohs continued to push forward, with substitute Johan Albin adding to the threat. 

With minutes to go, it was captain Ryan Cubbard who popped up in the box to hammer the ball home and deliver a win for Bohs.

An all round excellent team effort.
